Laminine is a supplement that contains amino acids, trace minerals, vitamins and Fibroblast Growth Factor. Protandim is a Nrf2 activator that up-regulates the body's production of antioxidant enzymes, lowers fibrosis and reduces inflammation. Is there a comparison? Should one take both or one or the other? Laminine is based on some scientific background, however it is no peer reviewed research on this product, only in its background of ingredients. We call this borrowed science. That being said, it might work, we just don't know. Some Lifepharm distributors suggest there are clinical trials, this is not true, there are no clinical trials I know of. You can ...
The era of juice MLM companies is coming to a grinding halt. I'm not disparaging the industry or network marketing, nor am I suggesting that these companies are bad or corrupt, it is simply a function of quality, product and timing. Several juice companies hit the market in the last decade or so. Xango (2002), Monavie (2005), Tahitian Noni (1996), Zrii (2008) and there are more. These companies had 1 major obstacle, proving to the world that their juice was somehow better than another companies juice. Most of these companies simply took 1 or 2 ingredients from nature, and put these ingredients ...
I saw this TV report on Protandim as was shocked they didn't really investigate it more or even have objective feedback. The following comments I feel are relevant: The original video found here: http://www.wtsp.com/news/article/240257/8/EXTRA-Is-Protandim-worth-it Time Index :40 - Yes he is a paid spokes person, but he was taking Protandim for a couple years before he was so, and instead of the company coming to him, he came to the company. He has not endorsed a product for a very long time (20 years?), so his sponsorship is no small thing. Time Index 1:12 - She lists all the ingredients, but that's not ...
So many people hear the phrase, "our company will be the next billion dollar MLM, the next big opportunity is us, and I have no doubt we will be there". But clearly they're not all going to make it, right? Of course not. According to Network Marketing for Dummies, there are over 1000 network marketing companies, and in the first year, most of them fail. About 200 of these network marketing companies belong to the DSA, leaving hundreds of companies as simple MLM startups with absolutely no future. So what makes one company work, and another fail? And what is it that ...
TA-65 is a supplement made by T.A. Sciences. Protandim is a Nrf2 activator sold by LifeVantage. How do they compare? Lets do a quick summary: TA-65 *Protandim Company Profile Privately Held, No Public scrutiny or regulated standards *Public Trade (LFVN), open financials and regulated finances and industry requirements Science Two Peer Reviewed studies by Dr Raffaele, paid for by the company *9 Peer Reviewed and Published Research on Protandim, 6 of which are independently funded. Barriers to Market At least 1 patent *4 Patents Timing I think its only available to be sold by certain doctors. *Timing very good, for anybody to participate Claims Claims TA-65 turns on the hTERT gene which activates the enzyme telomerase ...

Nopalea is a new Juice on the market, sold by TriVita. Protandim is a Nrf2 activator sold by LifeVantage. How do they compare? Lets do a quick summary: Nopalea *Protandim Company Profile Privately Held, No Public scrutiny or regulated standards *Public Trade (LFVN), open financials and regulated finances and industry requirements Science No Peer Reviewed and Published Science or Research on the product (however to be fair the ingredients do have such research) *Peer Reviewed and Published Research on Protandim itself Barriers to Market No Patents *4 Patents Timing *Timing very good *Timing very good Claims Claims to reduce inflammation and increases immune response. *Claims to be a Nrf2 activator, this affects 500 genes in the DNA to upregulate ...
I read an article from an unknown protamdim scam site that claims that Curcumin (Turermic) one of Protandim's ingredients, actually increases free radical production, siting this article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17143561 So this is when PubMed.gov becomes powerful to this unknown blogger, when it adds to his hidden agenda? But lets move on... The study does show that Curcumin alone is a Nrf2 suppressant because it inhibited protein phosphatase activity, in toxic dosages. However it says: "and when curcumin is not administered in toxic doses, these multiple pathways converge to induce HO-1", meaning when its at non-toxic dosages, it works as the other 50 peer reviewed ...
Lets compare ASEA to Protandim. Both products seem to address the problem of cellular aging. The ASEA product addresses it by supplementing the body with Redox Signaling molecules, that play a key part in the aging process and cellular health. Protandim addresses the problem, by stimulating the Nrf2 pathway to 'turn up' the survival genes, including the body's antioxidant enzyme response. ASEA will stimulate the body's production of antioxidant enzymes by adding oxidative stress. This is kind of like turning on your air conditioner by adding a space heater to your home. Protandim works by simply lowering the thermostat. ASEA is made from ...
MLMRankings.com is a popular website that attempts to rank different MLM companies against each other. They have some rather interesting statistics, however I think they are misleading. Generally speaking, the data is good for trending, but that's about it. It works by searching major search engines and seeing how many results each receive, each 30 day period. There are flaws in its model, for example for the last few months, the now defunk Bellamora company seems to be gaining... but they've been out of business for several months now. Why the raise in interest? Because people are talking about it. Other companies don't ...

I recently read a blog post on an anonymous authored anti-protandim website trying to besmirch the LifeVantage and Protandim brand by suggesting that because Dr Joe McCord is paid, somehow it must be a scam. The article says that Joe McCord is a well paid stockholder, and he is worth 1.1 million dollars. I find the unknown author’s post a very empty and misleading. It suggest somehow that McCord is manipulating the science somehow just to make money, and that he’s somehow only interested in the money, doing anything he can to make a buck. This unknown author says:
“As for McCord’s financial motivation, there can be little doubt that he’s paid well for being a spokesman.”
Duh, of course there is little doubt that he is paid. This is not a secret, it has never been; SEC filings require LifeVantage to disclose this, it’s public information. It’s also true that McCord puts a great deal of time and effort to continuing research and help educate and support the company. He SHOULD be compensated. He has spent a lot of time bring Protandim to market, with his research and help in its formulation. We also know that McCord gave (donated in exchange for stock) a lot of time and materials well before the company became a network marketing business. Something that all early adopters who invest receive… stock.
But the part that I find most objectionable is this unknown author’s summary:
“It is up to the reader to decide how much integrity millions of dollars can buy. I presume it varies from person to person.”
What? In what way has McCord lost his integrity? Because he’s compensated for his work or because he has continued to endorse Protandim with the gold standard in science – peer review? I’ve never heard anything he has said that risked his integrity, in contrast, he’s been extremely consistant, open and honest. Maybe its because McCord contributes when needed to some element of the research as conducted in the last few years? Doubtful, because something this author doesn’t consider or add would make that position folly. All the research studies were peer reviewed, and published in some of the most well respected and screwtinized journals. The peer review process has access to the same information, including yes, McCord is compensated, and they STILL passed his research (or research from others) with flying colors. Even the latest research where McCord plays a small role, or none at all, echo his findings.
Distributors who listen to McCord understand he’s compensated. Many don’t know exactly how much, but its not important. McCord is extremely well decorated in the field of free radical biology, his experience is so overwhelming what he’s compensated at is not relevant, unless this unknown author knows about something illegal. But he or she doesn’t, otherwise it would be front page news, and investors who watch this stuff, would be jumping ship. Yet the stock continues to gain traction. Is it because good things are yet to come? Most likely.
Is this claim empty from the unknown blogger, who’s motive is clearly one-sided? Yes. It’s true McCord will do very well with Protandim financially, as he should. While he alone doesn’t deserve credit for Protandim’s existence, nor will he alone be responsible for its success and adoption as one of the most important supplements a human can take, he plays a very pivotal role, and yes, a big slice of the pie. But lets be clear here. There is ZERO evidence McCord has cooked the books. If this unknown author wants to suggest that McCord is in it for the money, and is not a valid spokesperson, then show me how. It is a well known fact, as spoken publicly by CEO David Brown, McCord passed on a deal to sell Protandim to a big pharmaceutical company with a blank check years ago, and passed on the deal. In it for the money, hardly.
McCord is simply one researcher however. 8 peer reviewed studies now include dozens of names of scientists and doctors who have been participating in research with Protandim. Many of these (if not all) have no financial stake in Protandim whatsoever, totally independent from LifeVantage, yet echo and confirm McCords findings and contributions regarding Protandim. And this is only the beginning, since many and new 3rd party research is forthcoming, leading to huge statistical data on Protandim’s effectiveness in the years go come.
Anonymous skeptics and undeclared anti-protandim evangelist-bloggers will find no solace in their feeble attempts to discredit Protandim or McCord with lies and distortions. 3rd party peer review with real science will continue and a sea of research and experience regarding Protandim will overshadow them. The only thing they will retain is some high page ranking when searching for the words “Protandim Scam”, as a relic of a once traffic websites with sophomoric arguments and vengeful motivations to be uncovered.

You might be asking, how do I sell Protandim? It’s easy. You become a distributor, then you enroll customers, or sell it outright at retail. Your agreement with lifeVantage says you cannot sell it on Ebay or in a Retail website or store. For costs on being a distributor for Protandim, see this page:
http://www.studynrf2.com/blog/index.php/2011/07/enroll-as-a-distributor-with-protandim/
and also:

For links to enroll see:

As you enroll preferred customers you qualify for sign up bonus’s and long term residual income. If you sell it at retail you simply get the profit over your costs less your rebates.

Mettle as in “A person’s ability to cope well with difficulties or to face a demanding situation in a spirited and resilient way”. LifeVantage has officially dropped the Ownership Circle program. We knew it was temporary, but is being replaced with a new program, that I think is really nice.

First let me say, I think NuSkin is a very good company. Its been built with good standards and integrity, but lets make a stark comparison to what LifeVantage is doing. NuSkin is expanding globally by adding new products, most recently a product set called ageLOC. ageLOC technology that targets something NuSkin calls age-related super markers, and with what they call “Proprietary Science” (meaning only then know about it and can disclose it), by targeting certain genes, that control how we age. A video is available here:
What is the doctor doing at time index 1:16? Is he working in Photoshop or watching a the marketing video?
Listen at time index 3.22-3:44, the study cited at Standford, was that on AgeLoc.. no. So why does he connect to ageLOC? Its borrowed science.
I think a good explaination from NuSkin is found here:
It says: “ageLOC science is not dependent on any single discovery or scientific paper; instead our Nu Skin research and development scientists have incorporated key findings from leading genetic researchers and anti-aging specialists.” Translation: Its not based on real science other than our own internal secret studies, paid for entirely by our company, not peer reviewed, and not published or shared with the scientific community.
Again here:
http://www.nuskin.com/en_US/corporate/company/science/ageloc_science_compendium.html
Let me summarize. NuSkin is a good company. ageLOC may or may not work, but the science is all based on proprietary research and ingredients, and admittedly is not based on any single discovery or any scientific event. In contrast, LifeVantage with Protandim is based on exactly that. Real science studied by many universities. Proprietary yes, but not secret. ageLOC will help NuSkin, but its not revolutionary, or really scientifically valid.

Watch this video:
See the Yipiz Video here: http://www.yipiz.com/content/article/6/Opportunity
The Start: Yes timing IS EVERYTHING… the question is, is Yipiz the vehicle? Lets find out.
Time Index 0:12 – They’re referencing MonaVie, if you didn’t know.
Time Index 0:31 – Maqui Berry? They say its the most powerful… at what? Show me the science on the Yipiz product, not on its ingredients.
Time Index 0:40 – Resveratrol.. Ok, a good product, how much Resveratrol is in this Yipiz drink? Any studies on this drink? For that matter how much Maqui berry is in it?
Did you know that your body converts unused carbs into free radicals? I bet drinking Yipiz drink makes more free radicals than it fights, even if it has Resveratrol in it. Furthermore, you can buy Resveratrol all over the Internet. Nothing unique here. Infact, you can buy Maqui Berry products all over the Internet.
Time Index through 1:14 – All those news programs are NOT about Yipiz, they’re about its unknown measured ingredients. For all we know there is so little in there, it does nothing at all. This is BORROWED SCIENCE!
Time Index 1:20 The ORAC Fraud..see the ORAC Fraud Post here
See this product here:
https://www.yipiz.com/products/details/1/Yipiz-Fit-Juice
Its really just juice… and likely does nothing. It’s the SAME thing as a dozen other products out there, just normal fruit juice with trace amounts of some ‘berry’. So do they have a unique product (no), is it patented (no). Is the company public traded (no). Is there peer reviewed science on their product (no). Is it new (yes, that’s good). Is there compensation plan good.. sure I suppose, but compensation plans don’t grow customers, or keep a business going (see the collapse of MonaVie). The price point is good for their products (unlike most juice product), but it won’t sustain itself.
Nothing to see here folks, move along, it won’t last.

Dr Royal is a licensed Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Nevada. He’s done some research on Protandim in his clinic. Its always nice to others in the medical community who understand natural medical treatments not in the big phara realm, understand what Protandim does.
Once more science comes up, we’ll see more attention given toward Protandim.

LifeVantage now has a new Vantage Pack option for new distributors. This is a great option, infact one of the best things I’ve seen in a while. It used to be you could get 6 bottles of protandim, 2 truescience cremes, and samples of each, or 13 bottles of protandim. This new option, is 12 bottles of protandim, 1 truescience creme, and no samples. I think this option is really great, and fills the gap rather nicely, so new distributors get a creme, but enough protandim to sell/share etc. And frankly, the protandim samples in my opinion is a waste of money in most cases (though I do like the truescience samples quite a bit and highly recommend it)
